There are lots of places to learn. To add to the courses offered by existing colleges and training centres, learndirect has begun to set up a network of new learning centres around the country, in libraries, shopping centres and other handy places.
They will offer all kinds of learning - from basic reading skills to the most advanced IT courses.
You can arrange your learning around other commitments. Many courses offer flexible, 'drop-in' arrangements or you could study at home. Lots of colleges and training centres offer help with childcare too.
As an adult learner, you choose a subject that matches your interests. Whether it's computer skills or canoeing, psychology or painting, brushing up on your maths or starting a degree - there's bound to be something that suits you.
